Mrs Pomeranz

The 50s style midi full skirt dress has got to be the one style that suits all body types. There are plenty of those on the London and Moscow based brand – Mrs Pomeranz. They very kindly sent me over a dress to photograph early December. I really wanted to show the dress as it is, without wearing tights and winter layers. I braced myself and tried not to shiver and grit my teeth. Dedicated blogger?!….I think so!

I thought the antique shop road ‘West Street’ in Dorking would be perfect for a vintage feel backdrop. I was in such of a rush to get the photos done and back in the car I forgot to take photos of the shops and windows. I do like to show a bit of the location in outfit posts. I live 15 minutes away from Dorking, but worth a visit if you like old English style towns and have a penchant for visiting antique stores, flea markets & tea rooms.

I am looking almost blue with my paleness at the moment. To be honest I realised I had a bit of a fake tan problem. Feeling as though I looked terrible without a bit of colour. I still do feel better with tan, but trying to learn to embrace my paleness in the winter without having an orange glow and smelling like a stale biscuit. I won’t go near a sunbed these days.

Back to Mrs Pomeranz. Founders Dasha & Maria opened a Moscow based vintage store in 2008 called Bye bye london. Inspired by the mid 20th century dresses they were selling they began to offer made to measure vintage inspired dresses. The brand increased in popularity so they went on to design collections bi-annually. The dresses are pure luxury in quality, but around the mid-price point (around £250). They still sell made to measure which is around £350 and they always have sale items available.

Do check out the pretty dresses and skirts on Mrs Pomeranz if you haven’t heard of them before.

Thanks to Gillian Glad Rag for letting me shoot outside your store & Head for Hills for letting me play around on your pink bike.
