High Tea at Ma Bella Cakery x Yumchatea in Amsterdam

All sweet tooths here will love this blogpost. There is a new hotspot in Amsterdam called Ma Bella Cakery! It's opened by Monique Trinh who started baking customized cakes as a hobby but ended up opening her own store at a lovely spot in Amsterdam. A few days ago I went to her Winter high tea party with a few friends of mine to check out her store, enjoy her baked sweets and to catch up with my girls.

A few years ago, back in 2012, I reviewed a few homemade cupcakes from her (see blogpost), so my loyal followers might recognize her amazing creations.

At Ma Bella Cakery you can chill, have a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy her cakes, cake pops, cupcakes and many more other sweets. She holds workshops and makes customized cakes for special occasions like birthdays, baby showers and weddings. Once in a while she throws a high tea party as well.

WINTER HIGH TEA - MA BELLA CAKERY X YUMCHATEA
This is not like the regular high tea that you have in Amsterdam. It's a high tea buffet for 2 hours where you can unlimitedly choose the food that you like and enjoy the tea from Yumchatea.

We started with a nice pumpkin soup, had some of their homemade sandwiches, tried their vegetarian and mediterranean quiches and scones with clotted cream & jam. Besides that, we had some chicken tomato and salmon cream cheese tortilla rolls, we loved these the most!. Afterwards, we enjoyed sweets like macarons, vanilla blueberry cupcakes, chocolate cake pops, mini brownies & tompouce, profiteroles and a piece of their homemade lemon merengue pie. There was a lot to choose from, but my favorite of the sweets gotta be the macarons and her homemade vanilla cupcakes.

The two tea sommeliers from Yumchatea were there as well to advise and serve us with some quality tea that matched with the food and sweets that we had. It definitely takes some time to prepare it, so you gotta have patience with it. However, it's great to see that tea is getting more and more popular around these days. It has many benefits that people don't know. We loved the Oriental Beauty tea and Jasmin tea the most!

The decorations at Ma Bella Cakery are pretty interesting too - quotes on the wall, chic furniture and she's also showcasing her cake creations around the store.
