Okay ladies, are you ready for it? Today we are back with three {yes,
three!} runway recaps from this week's market. Why three you ask? Because we're recounting the runway shows of
Amsale,
Christos and
Kenneth Poole - and all three lines are designed by the amazingly-talented
Amsale Aberra. To begin, we're giving you a fresh-from-the-runway view of Amsale's
namesake collection. Her line has been a favorite of
my bridal styling clients for years - but this season, there was something
so chic,
so polished and so simply
beautiful about the line, that I literally couldn't take my eyes off the gowns. Aptly titled, the "American Metropolitan" collection is pure, archetypal and perfectly edited into the essence of bridal beauty. Take a peek!
From the designer, Amsale Aberra: "Our Fall 2013 collection is a celebration of American couture and a love letter to the sleek style of New York City - from the potent lines of its architecture to the polished chic of its most stylish women. Fall introduces streamlined silhouettes that have understated yet confident elegance. Sculptural overskirts, striking bustiers, rounded skirts that evoke American fashion icons, and boleros all have a 'less is more' power and a subtle strength. Just like the quintessential New York woman... This season is about design distilled to its essence, so that a woman's individuality shines through."
