Careers in Travel: Traveling Triplets

I'm very excited to introduce the latest post in the Careers in Travel series! I've been following these girls' adventures from the very beginning, when I just started blogging, and they've provided me with tons of travel inspiration and rockin' photos to fuel my wanderlust. These three identical triplets are travel gurus and have had many opportunities to make money while travelling. Today I've got Kylie, one of the Traveling Triplets, to tell us more about her careers abroad and her passion for travel!
---------------------------------
I wanted to do something I love, and to travel while I did it. As a photographer, I'd been shooting photography for a long time and I wanted to use my artistic skills to help the world at large in some way. I didn't want to travel just to travel, I wanted to make deep connections with people and develop meaningful relationships. That meant I needed to do a little more than just find a job that made travel a priority. I was looking for a mission to fulfill. So I created an opportunity.
My work as a humanitarian photographer and videographer takes me all around the world, and although much of it is volunteer I love it and am extremely passionate about what I do. It gives me opportunities that reshape who I am and allow me to experience cultures on a very real level. It all started with an international internship that led to other opportunities down the road that I would have never guessed would happen. Each experience I have abroad while filming has led to another, and for that I am grateful.
My career in travel videography and photography happened very naturally. I am someone who looks for opportunities to make travel part of my life in a unique and satisfying way. If you have a skill, hone it and own it. Make it yours, and make it an adventure! Look for opportunities to serve. My work abroad has changed my life for the far far better, and I am currently working on two mini documentaries from Haiti that I am so excited to share. I have found travel to be incredibly rewarding when I travel with a higher purpose. I love what I do, and you can too - just take the leap!
Thanks so much for your inspiring words Kylie! Hone it and own it.
