A Dilemma

I’ve always liked the ‘idea’ of owning a white dress. Everyone who wears them always looks so clean and chic, at least to me they do, and yet when I try a white dress on I’m never 100% feelin’ the way it looks on me. Mostly because when I buy white it ends up being semi see-through. I know that has a lot to do with cost i.e. cheaper dress equals cheaper material equals see-through fabric. But alas until I can fully commit to a white dress I can’t dish out the cash for the really, REALLY nice quality, not yet at least.

Anyways, I found this dress on ASOS and because of the way the fabric overlapped in the skirt portion, that and it was on sale, I decided to give it chance. When the dress arrived I tried it on only to find that the top of the dress was in fact (GASP) see-through. Because the dress was on sale, and I’m lazy, I knew it couldn’t be returned. Which is why I have styled it two ways on the blog today. I figure the more options I give myself, the less likely I am to regret this impulse purchase.

Anyone else have fashion a similar fashion dilemma?

Outfit One: top: ASOS asymmetric body conscious dress (another style here), Finders Keepers get away tartan blazer, sunnies: Ray-Ban original aviator, and shoes: Jeffrey Campbell over the knee boots (old, similar here and here)

Outfit Two: top: ASOS asymmetric body conscious dress (another style here), J.Crew oversize sweatshirt, AllSaints leather biker jacket (old, similar here), sunnies: Ray-Ban original aviator, and shoes: Jeffrey Campbell over the knee boots (old, similar here and here)
