It's been quiet around the blog lately, mostly because when the winter stretched endlessly throughout the whole of March, I was left less than inspired! As my first experience of a bad winter in the north-east (the past 2 were kind to us!) it's really been a tough one this year, and I resorted to wearing the same warm outfits on rotation rather than giving in and buying more. But now, the sun is out, the coats are (almost) packed away, and I'm so excited for summer once again in the city! Here are a few things I have been up to recently (mostly from my Instagram)...
1. The sunglasses are on! I've rediscovered this old pair and I'm really loving those gold mirrored lenses! 2. Look, no coat! Gingham and pastels are my spring staples. I've got a whole bunch of new pieces for my spring wardrobe, a new blonder, shorter haircut (thanks to the amazing Alis and Kat at Arrojo), and I'm ready for some style changes this season (more on those to come!) 3. After 2 years living in the US, we just submitted our application for a green card! Guess we'll be sticking around a bit longer! 4. Coffee and cake. This has been happening a lot, and I love it!

5. A great sunset from the first evening on our roof this year. This weekend we spent all Sunday up there with friends and it was just perfect. Plenty more days like this ahead! 6. Experimenting with curls (and selfies) for the first time. Think I need a lot more practice with both before I leave the house/ start sharing on social media... 7. One rainy day we took a trip to the Met. It was fantastic, I could spend so many hours there just browsing all the floors. In the end, I think we only covered about half- so much to see and explore! 8. Been wanting to have cocktails at the Campbell Apartment for so long. Loved the "roaring twenties" cocktail and, of course, their signature prohibition punch!
