AMC Theatres and Coca-Cola Freestyle – Gift Guide

The ModlyChic 2014 Holiday Gift Guide was curated by me. I was sent products to sample in order to write my reviews and create a worthwhile gift guide for my readers. All thoughts are my own. Movie tickets and concession money was provided for this post. #AMCandCocaColaFreestyle #ad

For several year, with my extended family, instead of giving individual gifts we would give a family present – something everyone could enjoy. Depending on the year, the gifts would vary, but I remember the year my mom gave each family a movie package. The basket she pulled together contained movie tickets for each member of the family as well as a plethora of boxed candy and a gift card for drinks. Perfect gift for everyone to enjoy. They could go to the movies together as a family and not need to spend a dime on the experience.

This year, I’m thinking this is a great gift idea for a whole family again. Tickets to an AMC Theatre and a gift card to spend on concessions and specifically the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines! Bring on the good times.

Last week, my siblings and I took advantage of a free afternoon we all had and headed to the local AMC Theatre to see Mockingjay, part I. Tickets purchased, we headed to the concessions. Of course candy and the requisite popcorn was purchased, as well as cups to try our hand at creating our own personal drink creations using the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. With 127 possible flavor combinations, and that’s before you might start mixing flavors, there are plenty of options to choose from! After several sample tastes, and a few serious trial and errors, we each filled our cups with a flavor all our own.

I went with a cherry, vanilla Coca-Cola. Yum. It was the perfect combination of flavors without being overly sweet.

My 15-year-old brother was in the mood for something that tasted like a root beer float, so he went with the Barq’s Vanilla. I have to say it really did taste like a root beet float.

My 12-year-old brother, who is a lot more adventurous, or perhaps has deadened his tastebuds already, went with the mix everything together option. I’m pretty sure he had 15 different flavors in his cup, with a base of grape Fanta. To me it didn’t taste like anything specific but he thought it was the best creation EVER.

My sister went with Sprite with raspberry, which she said was delicious.

And my mom stuck with traditional Sprite.

Have you tried the Coca-Cola Freestyle Machines? What’s your favorite combination? With 127 flavors to chose from you’re bound to find at least one, if not dozens, of tastes that you’ll adore. Use this link to find an AMC Theatre with a Freestyle Coca-Cola machine near you. Plan ahead and check out the movies showing now, and the one to come at AMC Theatres.
