Cable Knit for Days

It’s been so darn cold these last couple weeks that admittedly I don’t want to leave the warmth of my bed each morning. But since work calls I’ve been opting for a comfortable alternative to staying wrapped up in a down comforter all day long – thick over-sized sweaters. I have a couple of these that usually sit at the back of my closet, not getting too much play time, but I added two more to my collection recently after a shopping trip to Kohls. This cable knit sweater has been a staple at least once, if not twice a week since it entered my closet.

Because I wanted the oversized look and feel, I went with a sweater that was two sizes bigger than what I normally would have purchased. Of course, you can’t do this with every sweater but since this one doesn’t have delineated shoulders and no seem that begins the arms it was easy to go up a size for supreme winter comfort. And apparently I’m not the only one who went with this option. I was talking to a number of other bloggers who all randomly bought this sweater and each of them went up a size or two. Great minds, and all that… (Hopefully later in the month I’ll have a post for you showcasing the way a number of the other bloggers wore this same sweater so you can see how versatile and perfect it is for the frigid winter months.

Honestly, this was the windiest, coldest set of outfit pictures I’ve ever taken. BRRRR!!!!
