A New Chapter

The last week has been magical in our new home. It doesn't feel like ours, quite yet. But, it feels good. We've spent every day in awe of this new place to raise our family. We still wake up every day wondering where we are and wondering how God put us here. This home has been everything we prayed for and more, and I'm still getting used to the realization that our prayer has been answered.

We met with our pastors almost exactly one year ago to pray for a home to grow our family, welcome fellowship and a place for community. Now, I know that the Lord doesn't just go and bless everyone with all of their materialistic desires if they ask, but I do think that the Lord likes us to pray bold prayers if they line up with His Word and His plan (Check out The Circle Maker if you haven't before). We knew that it was time for a physical and spiritual change and that the Lord wanted us to trust Him to do something big. It didn't look financially possible for us to even put our town house on the market in the near future, but within months, He made it happen for us. Every step of the way, good and bad things happened to our financial situation that, in the end, made this house possible for us.

This house and neighborhood is just another chapter in our testimony of God's provision and faithfulness. If you could look back at our marriage and see where we started out, it wouldn't make sense. The debt, the job losses, the material sacrifices we've made along the way. They've all been part of the plan to get us here.
