Happy New Year!

I know the cut-off for saying happy new year is probably approaching - by mid January it seems a bit silly - so I'm just getting it in on time! Christmas has been and gone, how was it for you? Seemed to go by in a swirl of wrapping paper and chocolate. Top Drawer starts this Sunday, it's all that's been on my mind work-wise for a while so everything after next Tuesday is a lovely big blank space (that I will of course fill every second of with things I don't need to).
One of the things I really loved working on recently was this little commission. Well, not a commission exactly, it was suggested by my friend's husband for her 40th, and I thought it was such a great idea. He basically sent me a list of all the things she'd asked for for her 40th for me to illustrate. The list was so hilarious and so her, I leaped at it and it was all I worked on for 3 days.

I didn't get her any of the above by the way. Let's just say Carly Dodsley has done pretty well out of me this Christmas!
