Once upon a time there were two sisters from the North who wanted to have fun with fashion and who created, more than a brand, a style.
The style in question is Filles à Papa and the two sisters are Carol and Sarah Piron, Belgian by birth and cosmopolitan by adoption and by nature, who concreted their talent, their creativity and their young, irreverent and definitely rock ideas in 2009 with their own brand which has always reflected faithfully their spirit and which is perfectly revealed in that name, a bit provocative but surely telling.
Put simply, nothing is left to chance and nothing is expected. So, the simplest of jeans doesn’t shine on its own, but fraternizes with tweed, while bomber jackets are just perfect together with tight skirts. Improvised but well-studied paradoxes forming a background to a “rough” style, sometimes manlike, which perfectly matches with sequins and cocktail dresses, giving life to a simple but original, and above all identified, elegance, as to prove that style is not a matter of trend (or not just) but of identity, as a celebration of a rebellious, creative and conscious youth.
Versione italiana
