The “No Makeup” Makeup Look (Updated)

Three years ago, I introduced four fabulous products that I said would be all you’ll need in order to achieve that “no makeup” makeup look.

Now, I am sharing with you a video demonstration of my step-by-step routine for achieving the “no makeup” makeup look, using an updated lineup of products I’ve personally started using between the time I published the previous post and perhaps as recent as a few months ago.

Although I highly recommend the products I used on the video tutorial, you may use whatever brands of makeup you already have. Again, mine are merely recommendations.

The Point Of The “No Makeup” Makeup Look

Just keep in mind that the point of the “no makeup” makeup look is to enhance and improve your looks without making it so obvious that you are wearing any makeup. There should be just enough glow, just enough color, just enough emphasis on your most attractive facial features. Subtlety is the key here.

This is the perfect look to try if you’re going to a very casual event and you think that showing up with a fully made-up face might be considered a little too much, but going totally bare-faced might look a little too dull either.

Products I Used For The “No Makeup” Makeup Look

Smashbox Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer SPF15
Maybelline Pure Mineral Concealer
Benefit Boi-ing Concealer
NARS Eyebrow Pencil (Ipanema)
MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil (Stubborn Brown)
MAC Paint Pot (Painterly)
Smashbox Eye Shadow (Vanilla)
Shu Uemura Lash Curler
Fairy Drops Platinum Waterproof Mascara
Benefit They’re Real Mascara
Le Blush Creme de Chanel (Intonation)
MAC Lip Pencil (Subculture)
Clarins Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm
Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder
