SUPPLIES

Wool Felted Fabric matching thread | Red Craft Felt | Fuchsia Pink Thread | Heart stencil or in my case I used a heart cookie cutter | Sewing Machine | Glue

First, cut out the heart felt hearts. Trace a cookie cutter or stencil to trace you hearts…or go free style!

Cut two wool rectangles. Mine measured 5 7/8″ x 9 1/4″ for a small/medium sizes woman’s hand. I also considered that I was going to wear these over gloves instead of bare hands. Better to cut bigger and reduce the size than to cut them too small.

Fold fabric with the pretty finish fabric on the inside. Approximately 1/4″ from the edge sew a seam roughly 1 5/8″ from the edge. On the other side sew a seam about 2 1/8″ – don’t forget to double back on the seams at the edges. The open area, for the thumb, measure roughly 2 3/8.” It seem like there would not be need for that large of opening, but you do.

Once the seams are sewn, clip extra threads then clip back the corner of the the wool missing the stitched seam.

This is the glove turned right side over the glove. Most likely the un sewn seam will stay folded under, but if not, turn the glove inside out and use a little Fabri-Tac to secure the edge in place. {Other glues may work as well but Fabric-Tac holds in seconds!

Once the fingerless gloves are finished, use a little glue and center them on the front of the gloves.

To give mine a homemade feel, I then use fuchsia thread and did a simple whip stitch around the edge of the hearts! Loving them!
