Pinecone Painting

First we painted pumpkins and now we are on to pinecones. We gathered small pinecones out of my parents yard and some larger ones out of our neighbors yard. We asked before we took of course, didn't want to get a ticket for pinecone stealing.

We brushed paint on some then started rolling the cones in the multicolored paint tray. After they all had a decent amount of paint on them I laid them out and let Gretchen shake glitter out over top. Her favorite part is squeezing out more paint and shaking the glitter on the pinecones. Once dried I plan on using them for holiday decorations. My old t-shirts make great painting dresses for her. I gather up the excess fabric at the neck in the back of shirt and wrap a hair tie around for a good fit.
