Avion Holiday Boutique – Avioners can do that!
On Thursday November 20th Julio Reyes (Fashion Nights) and I had the pleasure of hosting an exclusive preview event for the 2014 Avion Holiday Boutique at Yorkdale Shopping Centre for some of Ontario’s top bloggers/influencers. There are three boutiques in total at Yorkdale, Square One and Coquitlam Centre in BC. The Boutique is located across from Pottery Barn & Coach, in the same hallway as JCrew & Tory Burch. We enjoyed all the privileges the Avion Card offers plus we were treated to some wonderful hors d’oeuvres, a candy bar (my favourite part) and beverages for that evening. The Avion Holiday Boutique is a unique and exclusive program designed to enhance the holiday shopping experience for RBC Avion cardholders (known as Avioners). Being an Avioner has many perks and privileges and with the Holiday season now upon us RBC wanted to give Avioners a break from the hustle and bustle of the season by providing them with exclusive and complimentary services:
- Valet Parking
- Professional Gift Wrapping
- Coat and Parcel Check
- Access to the VIP Lounge and Cafe
The gift wrapping options are plentiful and all Holiday theme colours are covered. Plus there is a piano player playing all your favourites holiday songs.
Valet Service at Yorkdale is a wonderful way to experience the centre plus you always know where your car is…well almost. I forgot that I had valeted my car and for a split second thought I lost my keys. Won’t happen next time. I spend a lot of time at Yorkdale and being able to take advantage of coat check and leisurely walk around the centre without the extra weight of winter coats just puts me in a great mood. Then when I’m done pulling for TV and buying half the things I pull I can go back to the Boutique, put my feet up and sit in one of the comfortable club chairs listen to the piano player and sip my coffee or hot chocolate. The other bonus? You can have your holiday gifts wrapped in co-ordinating papers! How pretty will they look under the tree?
This is RBCs way of thanking Avioners for their loyalty. The Avion Holiday Boutique is open during centre hours from November 22 – December 31, 2014. What if you don’t have an Avion Card? The public can enjoy the valet parking, coat & parcel check and gift wrapping services for a small pre-set fee (all coat & parcel check and gift wrapping fees are donated to Sick Kids Froundation). After seeing the lounge and learning about all the extras Avioners enjoy I’m sure I’ll see you enjoying all the Boutique has to offer Avioners in 2015.
For the preview Julio and I had carefully curated Holiday outfits and some fun gift ideas for the season to give our guests a jump on Holiday gift giving and help them get styled for all the inevitable parties. Julio and I were wearing pieces that can be found at Yorkdale – my necklace is Cocoa Jewelry found at Shoppers Drug Mart, dress is Pink Tartan (found at Hudson’s Bay & Holt Renfrew || can’t get to Yorkdale find it CAN & here), and shoes are Jimmy Choo. We were both taken by the cute packaging of these Ferrero Rocher Chocolates.
New to the Avion Holiday Boutique this year is the RBC Rewards display. The display features some of the most popular items from the RBC Rewards catalogue. Visitors to the Boutique can make someone’s holiday extra special by nominating them to win one of the items from the display in the “Not‐so‐secret Santa” Twitter contest. To do this they take a photo (of a product featured in the display, themselves in front of the display or of the Boutique) and use the #AvionVIP hash tag in combination with one of the product hash tags to post to Twitter and nominate a recipient to receive that item. After December 31, those who qualify will be entered into a random draw to win the product for their recipients. Each winner will also receive a $100 RBC Visa Gift Card for themselves and is open to all.
