Best Dressed This Week: 17/10/14

The unveiling of a new Chanel No.5 film is always a grand event. And with Gisele making her debut as the face of the iconic fragrance, starring in the Baz Luhrmann-directed film, this year’s celebration – held in New York – was one not to be missed. Not least for the sheer number of immaculately turned-out celebs, including the likes of Lily Aldridge, Toni Garrn and Gigi Hadid, all of whom made it into our top 10 this week with their equally well put-together Chanel ensembles.

Elsewhere, there were two stars who stood out in particular this week: the actresses of director Alejandro González Iñárritu’s new film Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue Of Ignorance): Emma Stone and Naomi Watts. The former chose a shimmering Jason Wu number from the designer’s spring 2015 collection for the New York Film Festival presentation, while the latter opted for a ultra delicate dove grey Gucci Premiere lace gown.

We also spotted a couple of colour trends emerging, too. Emma Stone chose another winning outfit this week for her appearance on Good Morning America: an ivory Giambattista Valli skater dress, which was given a punky spin via a pair of Valentino Rockstuds, while Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looked effortlessly chic in an all-white ensemble on her shopping trip in LA. Cornflower blue was another standout hue, with Glee actress Dianna Agron and Naomi Watts both opting for dresses in the bold shade that’s set to be big for SS15.

All in all, an impressive week on the red carpet, don’t you think?
