TRAVEL DIARY

Traveling is one of my biggest passions in life. That's why I like not only taking pictures, but also writing about every little thing, to make sure that no adventure will ever be forgotten.

On these pictures you can see me sitting by the pool during our honeymoon, chilling and relaxing whilst writing something into my notebook. This notebook is my travel diary or journal, whatever you call it.
Last year, I came up with this idea - to write everything about my travels, no matter where I go, to document every single little detail that I'm facing. So that after many years, I can not only look at the pictures, but also read about all the places I've been too, about all the emotions I've had, not forgetting anything about my adventures. And let me tell ya, this was a brilliant idea and I don't know why I hadn't thought about it before, 10 years ago to be exact, when I first started traveling the world. But it's okay, I'll catch up.
Since last summer, since our road trip to Croatia, I've had this diary, where I've written everything about my travels - places, food, drinks, beaches, architecture, emotions, new words, language, people, hotels, I've even saved all of the receipts, cards and other paper stuff to fit in the diary. Now I can open it and see, what I ate, where I went, what I did that day. I think it's a great idea, to write everything about travels. By reading your notes, you can kinda travel in time and remember the feelings you had at any particular moments. So, this became my travel routine. I would take my diary everywhere I go and when I'd have a spare minute, I'd write.
I can imagine myself being a 70 year old grandma, sitting next to my husband, feeling nostalgic and saying: "Oh, darling, remember that day when we...?" They say, you should count your blessings. I'd better write mine on paper, so when I'm feeling down, I can easily remember all the priceless little moments.
I hope you liked this post, found an inspiration and maybe from now on, you will use this idea too. Anyway, tell me about your own travel routines or must-haves?
