Illustrators I Adore: Aliki Brandenberg

I discovered Aliki the other day when I stumbled across this first memorable illustration. I was fascinated and had to know more. (source) And once I found this fox illustration, I was sold. (source) Her first book The Story of William Tell was published in 1961, she wrote it while living in Switzerland.
