Inspired by a trip to New York, TagsAndThrows started life on Instagram where OKOK would share pictures of tags with friends. Growing quick over the space of 2 years it’s now known for monochrome imagery that ‘captures the simplicity and rawness of street bombing.’ Recently dropping their first ever book, Thomas Karl-Johan Gunnarsson (the man behind TagsAndThrows) has collected a selection of personal photographs documenting hand styles from New York, São Paulo, Stockholm and Copenhagen. Spanning over 136 pages the book features a lot of well-known signatures in their signature monochrome colour palette including False, Klops, Ja, Guns, Katsu, Pear, Tomcat, Easer, Os Gemeos, Sliks, Alone and many more.
