Scent of a Woman: I’m the “Femme” in Dolce Gabbana Pour Femme Eau de Parfum

I am convinced that every woman should have a signature scent that embodies their personality and Dolce Gabbana Pour Femme comes pretty darn close for me. It has been fine-tuned from the original incarnation and has usurped Light Blue’s permanent spot on my perfume tray. After sampling the Pour Femme Intense I think it would have been a better match for what I have been looking for, but the eau de parfum is my daytime olfactory autograph.

Top Notes: Neroli, Raspberry, Green Mandarin, Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Guimauve
Base Notes: Vanilla, Heliotrope, Sandalwood

Dolce Gabbana describe this perfume as passionate, sensual, and maternal. It is warm and comforting with the nostalgic base notes of vanilla and sandalwood, and the citrus and floral top notes promote it from being pedestrian. It is understated and manages a duality between classic and modern; unintimidating at its core and beguiling enough to merit a lingering inhalation. Definitely a fragrance for women who prefer a sweet bouquet but are looking for something different from the artificial marshmallow notes that inundate the market. I do wish that it had longer staying power after it settles in to the skin-it lasts for 3-4 hours on me before I need spritz refresher.
