Model City Purple Dragon

For this week’s Teal Thursday I’ve got a mani from my friend Jessica of Be Happy and Buy Polish. She used Color Club New Bohemian and Model City Purple Dragon together.

Hi there! I’m so happy to be sharing a mani with you while Phyrra is recuperating. If we haven’t been introduced yet, my name is Jessica and I blog at Be Happy And Buy Polish. I mostly talk about nail polish and nail art with my “specialty” being freehand semi-detailed nail art like my Phineas & Ferb nail art.

For today, I asked Phyrra what her favorite colors are to decide what kind of manicure I’d create! Since she let me know that teal blue and blue-toned purple are the colors she really likes, I dug through my stash and came up with two great colors, starting with a Color Club nail polish – even though it’s unlabeled, I think it is New Bohemian.

Color Club nail polishes usually go on like butter for me and this one was no exception. This was 2 easy coats followed by a coat of my favorite quick dry top coat, Digital Nails Ain’t Nobody Got Time For That (best name ever!). Here is a more true-to-life photo:

After waiting for my nails to be dry and non-smudging, I used triangle vinyls from Twinkled T Nail Vinyls, placing them on my nails in random directions for a funky look. Using Model City Polish Purple Dragon, I painted over the triangles and then quickly pulled them off. I only do one nail at a time, it’s much less mess that way.
