A Guy’s View on Nail Polish + Giveaway

My name is Mike and I’m here to give a guy’s perspective.
I don’t know how long L. is going to let me guest post on POTC. I guess it depends on if readership tanks. A little bit about myself – I love steak, hamburgers, beer, scotch older than 14 years, football, taking things apart, (hopefully) rebuilding them, and generally most things that are bad for me when not taken or done in moderation. Oh yeah, I’m also the reason L. and E. got together (maybe she’ll let me write about that later).
How did this happen you ask? Well, it all started a few days ago when I was sent ColorClutch’s Kickstarter campaign* and thought, “this is totally something that L. would put on POTC. She’d gush over how that robin egg blue is ‘totes fabo’ and how it would solve her dilemma of choosing a color for her party nail (Yes, she rocks one). And then it hit me: there’s probably a bunch of stuff that guys would actually buy for their significant others because, well, it would make our lives just that much better.
This product is perfect for me. No, I don’t wear nail polish. But my lovely wife, well she’s an entirely different story. There’s not a day or two that goes by without her breaking out the cotton pads, Sally Jensen’s nail polish remover and applying a fresh coat.
And there’s my problem. I’m not going to lie, her collection has pretty much overtaken an entire shelf on my 49ers shrine:
Unacceptable. It’s football season. My Niners are hot and cold. I’m a nervous wreck. I really don’t need a tub full of bottles that looks like what what a unicorn would puke up after eating a bag of Skittles. It’s just bad juju for the season.
ColorClutch to the rescue! No more unicorn puke all over my Niners shrine and she’d actually be able to find what she’s looking for instead of fumbling through 25 different shades of burgundy red. I’d get an extra layer of my shrine back (hello bobbleheads)! Plus, brownie points for being so thoughtful.
Ladies, feel free to flip it on us. If you’re nail polish collection is creeping up on your man’s stuff – his side of the sink, medicine cabinet, or nightstand, let him reclaim his space. He’ll be thankful for it and you may finally be able to cash in on those IOU backrubs/footrubs he’s been promising you (probably not).
And there you have it. A product built for ladies, but perfect for the guys in their lives as well. So #BanUnicornPuke and actually find the color that you’re looking for instead of fumbling through 25 different shades of burgundy red.
