Winter Sunset Nail Art + Pictures of Wintry Joensuu

Today's post is going to be a bit different! I just recently did some simple winter nail art and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to share some pictures of wintry Joensuu as well, since they went pretty well together with my manicure. I will first share the mani with you, but be sure to check out the end of this post for more beautiful wintry pictures!
This is actually the mani that I did with the 90's looking gradient as my base color. The nail art completely turned the mani around and it didn't really remind me of the 90's anymore, so I wanted to keep this completed nail art apart from that 90's post.
As you might remember from the previous post, I did the gradient with two new China Glaze spring collection polishes: Dashboard Dreamer and Wanderlust. When I was coming back home from spending Christmas with my family, it was quite cold and the sun was just setting and it painted the clear blue sky just slightly pink around the horizon. The scenery was just so gorgeous with the beautiful sky and the snowy trees. I don't have a picture from that day unfortunately, but that was the inspiration for my nail art.
So I painted some trees on top of the gradient with a small nail art brush and some polishes. I actually used first black (Essie Licorice), after that I used two different greens (Essie Mojito Madness and OPI Jade Is the New Black) and then finally I added the snow using OPI Angel With a Leadfoot.

Products used Base coat: Sally Hansen Nail Rehab Polishes: China Glaze Dashboard Dreamer and Wanderlust, Essie Licorice and Mojito Madness, OPI Jade Is the New Black and Angel With a Leadfoot Top coat: Mereneid Top It All
Eventhough I don't have pictures of the actual inspiration for my nail art, I do have some stunning pics of wintry Joensuu to share with you! In January there were some really cold days here, which meant that the trees became beautifully frosted. Then we also got some sunny days, so I just had to go out and take some pictures even if my fingers did almost freeze while I was taking these as it was sooooo cold.
Did you notice, I even managed to snatch some pictures of this cool little halo phenomenon!

Nature can be truly wonderful! I hope you guys enjoyed these pictures as much as I enjoyed sharing them with you!
