Christmas?

I can’t believe Christmas is just right around the corner. Usually I’m counting down the days but this year it feels like it just crept in on me. Am I the only one who feels this way?

What do you all have planned for Christmas? For me, we’re headed to my Grandmama’s on Christmas Eve and will have dinner there with the family and then Christmas day, my parents and I will just have our own dinner here. My work is open December 23, closed on the 24th and 25th, and reopens on the 26th so we couldn’t really do much. Luckily, I was able to at least take the 23rd as a vacation day.

Today is our Christmas Party Potluck and it’s our big event at the daycare. We have 2 events a year, one in the summer and another for Christmas. One of our parents dresses up as Santa and gives out gifts to all the children. Parents and teachers bring dishes for the potluck and we close early! I’m actually up early today so I can make au gratin potatoes for the potluck. I’m excited for the potluck but also excited that I get the next 5 days off after we close.
