{Chanel} CC Cream vs. Les Beiges Healthy Glow Fluid

Hello Lovelies!

With summer just around the corner, I decided to change-up my make up routine starting with my CC Cream.

For the past few months, I’ve been using Chanel’s CC Cream and it’s been great. But to prep for a hot summer, I decided to give my pale skin a touch of color without the ugly orange or fake tan look. Bronzers can easily give a boost in color, but I avoid powders whenever possible because I have dry skin.

In this post, I’ll review Chanel’s CC Cream Correction Complete as well as Chanel’s NEW Les Beiges All In One Healthy Glow Fluid.

CC Cream Complete Correction Broad Spectrum SPF 25
Available at Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom for $55
The expertise of Chanel Research meets the artistry of the Chanel Makeup Studio in a fusion of skincare and makeup. The lightweight, blendable texture creates a fresh, flawless complexion while nourishing and protecting skin.

  • Coverage: Provides medium coverage. You can see above that my skin’s tone is evened out and my color is corrected.. I wouldn’t say that it’s a full coverage, but definitely medium coverage and more than BB Creams.
  • Texture: Feels like a light cream. If you have dry skin like me all year round, you’ll like it. Even though it’s not oily in any way, if you have oily skin… you may wanna try this in the fall and winter.
  • Finish: I apply this over my moisturizer and dust translucent powder over my face to set the CC Cream. I feel a tad bit shiny if I don’t apply a touch of loose powder. If you have oily skin, you could consider using the CC Cream without a moisturizer.
  • Shades: Available in 20 Beige and 32 Beige Rose. I purchased 20 Beige. In MAC terminology, I’m a NC20.
  • SPF 25

Les Beiges All In One Healthy Glow Fluid Broad Spectrum SPF 15
Available at Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom for $45
Ultra–light, sheer colour achieves a luminous, healthy-glow makeup result, as it smoothes and evens the complexion. Hydrates skin while providing broad-spectrum sun protection.

  • Coverage: You can see above that the coverage is ultra sheer. Much less than the CC Cream. I’d describe it as a light tinted moisturizer.
  • Texture: Ultra light. I recommend using this product over a moisturizer whether you have oily or dry skin. Great all year round.
  • Finish: It’s all about providing a sheer tint of color. Because it’s so light, I don’t feel like I have to use loose powder over this product.
  • Shades: Available in N10, N20, N30, N40, and N60. I purchased N20. In MAC terminology, I’m a NC20.
  • SPF 15

Below’s a side by side swatch comparison of Chanel’s Les Beiges and CC Cream. Both are the correct shade for my skin, but you can clearly see that Les Beiges has a bit more “color” to it while being super sheer and light in consistency. It really gives my skin a healthy glow as the name states! The CC Cream provides more coverage and a more “perfected” look. Also, it’s a bit thicker in consistency compared to Les Beiges. The CC Cream looks a bit yellow below, but it blends out to match my skin tone.

When I get greedy and want both coverage and a boost of color… I mix the two products together! Mixing the two products together also thins out the consistency of the CC Cream making it lighter. This diluted consistency is perfect for summer in my opinion. Natural coverage, light consistency, and a healthy glow?! Perfect!

Here are 2 options on how to use the products together.

  • Option 1: Mix 70% CC Cream and 30% Les Beiges to get sheer to medium coverage with a touch of color.
  • Option 2: Apply the CC Cream as you normally would. Apply a touch of Les Beiges in the areas you would normally apply bronzer. Basically just where the sun would naturally hit your face. Les Beiges adds a touch of color and will provide a healthy glow without looking bronzed out or orange.

Below are swatches of the 2 products individually, and on the far right, you can see how the two products look together when blended together. Notice it’s not as light as the CC Cream, but not as tinted as Les Beiges when used alone. It’s the perfect amount of color for a natural sun kissed complexion.

I hope this review has been helpful!
