Flower Bouquet DIY- Mother's Day Gift

For this Mother's Day the kids and I made my mom a flower bouquet made of foam hands and flowers! Tutorial is below if you want to try it. The entire project took a couple of days mainly due to paint & glue drying.
Supplies Needed: Pot (I used one from the craft store for $2) Paper Foam Plain paper Pencil Foam paint Foam glue Fake Flowers with leafs Wooden Sticks Styrofoam Decorative Stickers Scissors
First step was to trace the kids hands onto paper to use as stencils. Reason I use a paper stencil instead of tracing the hand straight onto the foam its because the kids make mistakes so a stencil will ensure both hands are identical
Second cut off the paper stencil hand
Then trace onto the foam paper.
Cut off the foam paper hand (need two sets). I used different color for left and right (see photo below)

Once the foam hands were cut, it was time to decorate! The kids enjoyed this part and they got to choose whatever they wanted on their own hand. I did Dahlia's hands.
Paint has to dry and this part takes about 2-4 hours. We waited till next day to ensure they were dry

After the hand flowers were done we proceeded to make the other decorations including flowers that we included in the bouquet. We did tulips, sunflowers, ladybugs and leafs.

They were also painted and decorated!

After all the paint was dry we used the foam glue to attach the wooden sticks to the foam pieces

We place the styrofoam inside the pot.
The final step was to place all the hands, flowers and decorations inside. Stickers were used on the outside of the pot: One says Grandma, and other two stickers say a lovely comment :)
Hopefully my mom likes it when we give it to her on Sunday!
