Ivory and Gray

As much as I love bold and vibrant colors, I also love neutrals. Today its the color pairing of ivory and gray. I’m one of those girls that believes you can wear white in the winter and although I currently live in Hawaii I still like to dress for the seasons as much as I can get away with, without burning up.

This gray lightweight off the shoulder knit from Alloy Apparel allows me to do so. My necklace was an inexpensive find from Wal-Mart, it was only $5 bucks! Today’s look showcases my love for pairing high and low. My bag and shoes which will last me years, so I don’t mind spending the extra bucks on. For trendier items such as this sweater and necklace they were what I consider to be fun buys because they were so inexpensive, so I didn’t have a high expectation for them to last, but surprisingly they are holding holding up. I’ve had this sweater for over a year now and I’m still loving it, no pilling and its been washed at least ten times since I’ve had it.

I decided to go match-matchy and pair it with my suede ankle booties from J. Crew. These boots are so comfortable, again with the “C” word but they really are even with their 3 inch heel, which I’m learning is pretty much my max now a days for long wear comfort. I have wide feet so pointy toe boots often times kill my feet, unless I can find them in wide. For medium width boots and shoes where my toes are enclosed I love a round or almond shaped such as these.

What I’m Wearing:

Jeans: Old Navy, 14 tall (similar available up to 37″ inseam)

Shoes: J. Crew, size 12 (love these and these, both available up to a size 12)

Sweater: Alloy Apparel, mine is regular size but they are now available in tall sizes here

Bag: Louis Vuitton

Necklace: Wal-Mart

Thank you for stopping by!

Hugs,
