Blythe’s Scarf:

As the artic blast envelops much of the country, having the perfect warm scarf is essential. But let’s not forget that while avoiding frostbite is important, you also want to look as stylish as possible while doing so.

Growing up in Florida, I never really needed a scarf until I moved to colder places, like Minneapolis, Chicago, and NYC. At first, I just looked for a scarf that matched my coat and kept me warm, but over time, I realized I wanted my scarves to be both cozy and cool. Now I own scarves in all types of materials and styles, so I can stay fashionably warm from fall through spring. The only scarf missing from my wardrobe was the infinity scarf, but that all changed when MoonCats, The Scarf Experts, asked if they could send us each a scarf to try.

I choose the Soft Rabbit Infinity Scarf, $39.95, in taupe, which comes in a chunky knit made from 100% acrylic. The scarf weighs about 3.6 ounces, and is about 35” in length, and 19” in width. The Soft Rabbit is one of Mooncat’s best selling scarves, and I can definitely see why it is so popular.

The scarf looks and feels like it is handmade. It is ultra cozy and ultra soft, which is always important to me. The last thing I want around my neck is an itchy scarf. Another thing I really love about the scarf is the color of the yarn. It is the perfect mix of black and taupe. It pairs perfectly with all of my coats, from my cream/camel colored puffy coat, to my red wool trench coat. The Soft Rabbit Infinity Scarf keeps my neck warm, while adding the perfect amount of sophistication and style to any fall/winter look.

My only complaint with the scarf was the initial smell. I’m not sure if that was just from being stored in a box or bag for a while, or just how acrylic sometimes smells. This was easily remedied, though, by hand washing it in Woolite. After the scarf dried, it was still soft, but lacked any evidence of its previous odor.

Cindy’s Scarf:

For me, fashion isn’t about the latest trends, but more about showing off my personal style. The quickest and easiest way to make an outfit your own is through accessories: scarves, hats, jewelry, bags and shoes–you get the idea. MoonCats scarves cover the gamut from elegant square scarves to warm winter oblong, wraps and oversize, trendy light weight scarf for all seasons, super lovely infinity scarves, and even some styles for men!

I chose the Feline Eyes scarf ($39.99), a wide fringed grey leopard to perk up both my winter office wear and my winter coats. I love the weight of this scarf–it’s a mid-weight so it’s warm but not bulky. It also has a wide cut so you could even use it as a wrap over a little black dress, weather allowing.

This scarf goes with everything. I’ve worn it with my red wool coat, grey pants and a black sweater, black pants and a maroon sweater, and of course with jeans and a tee-shirt. With the extra long length, you can wrap it several different ways for distinctive looks. This is a very high quality scarf–tightly woven with no loose strings, etc. color me impressed!

There are so many great styles to choose from, I really had a hard time picking just one! This Camel Black is so classic and timeless:

While the cream Polka Dance with gold dots is fun and stylish:

I’m sure you’ll be happy with anything you choose and oh–the shipping is FREE! MoonCats scarves come in two price ranges, $39.95 or $49.95, and if you purchase one right now, you can save $10 for one, $25 for two, and $40 for three!

Bottom line: If you are looking for a stylish, warm scarf, checkout MoonCats website. Their scarves come in a variety of styles, including oblong (winter & oversize and lightweight) and infinity, and they also sell gloves, hats and headwraps, as well as scarves just for men.
