Top 10 Cold Weather Beauty Products!

This weeks Top 10 could not be more appropriate as tomorrow’s high will be 18º with an overnight temp of 3º! We already have about 6 inches of snow on the ground and it going to be really, really cold…..brrrrr! So here we go…My Top 10 Cold Weather Products!

For the Body:

A good body lotion that adds moisture to you skin is essential. I like AmLactin Cerapeutic Restoring Body Lotion. It has a patented triple action formula AND three essential ceramides to gently slough off dead skin cells and strengthen the skin’s protective barrier. AmLactin actually has three great body lotions available. Read my full review here.

L’Occitane Almond Supple Skin Oil ($40) - Enriched with almond oil, rich in omega-6, and Cameline oil, rich in omega-3, the Almond Supple Skin Oil softens the skin, leaving it feeling toned and more supple. In addition, the formula integrates silicium which effectively fights lack of firmness by promoting skin’s support tissue synthesis. Skin is firmer and smoother making this oil ideal for pregnancy or periods of weight loss. Awesome! The fragrance is soft and light with a sweet almond scent. After your shower or bath while your skin is still damp, pump a few drops into your palm and massage into your skin. It absorbs super fast and is NOT greasy. I can’t stop rubbing my legs together after applying this, my skin feels amazing AND using this oil for just a few days made my heat rash disappear!

LUSH Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie ($34.95)

Each pot is made with superb quality ingredients including aphrodisiac jasmine and Turkish rose, smoothing almond oil, moisturizing cocoa butter and neroli – the euphoric essential oil. Smooth on this softening smoothie in the shower, let it sit for a minute then rinse off for clean, touchably soft and fragrant skin. A pot of this suits all skin types, but it is particularly good for dry and sensitive bodies that need moisture. It smells heavenly and leaves my skin feeling beautifully soft and smooth.

FACE:

To keep my skin from getting dry and flaky, I use Reviva Labs Hylauronic Acid Serum. Hyaluronic acid provides continuous moisture to the skin and can bind up to 1,000 times its weight in water! This highly concentrated serum plumps up fine lines and helps the skin retain it’s natural moisture balance. As we age, the ability of our skin to produce HA decreases, making HA a MUST for over 40 women. This serum has a gel-like texture that absorbs instantly leaving NO greasy residue and it’s fragrance-free. You will honestly see a difference in your skin within days and it’s only $22!

TATCHA Moisture Rich Silk Cream ($150)
This long lasting anti-aging moisturizer is very lightweight with a gel-like texture and no heavy oils. It contains Liquid Silk, Squalane, Royal Jelly HADASEI-3 Bioactive Complex. This and the TATCHA Brightening Serum are the two products that have a made a significant improvement in my skin.

LIPS:

Reviva Labs Vitamin E Oil Stick ($4) - this little gem can do almost anything! It keep lips soft and protected from the sun with an SPF of 15, cures dry cuticles and can even be used under the eyes at night for extra hydration.
LUSH Popcorn ($9.95) - Sugar and fine sea salt exfoliate away dry skin while jojoba and coconut oils restore essential hydration to the lips for a smooth, softened pout. I think this tastes just like Kettle Corn so try not to eat it!

HAND CREAMS

Pacifica Malibu Lemon Super Hydrating Hand Cream ($9) This fresh scent captures the free spirit of the Pacific Ocean with Lemon Blossom, Litsea Cubeba, flowering Angel’s Trumpet, fresh herbs and salty sea breezes. I adore this hand cream because it absorbs really well and every time I use this at work I get compliments on the scent. After using this at work, I never want to be without it!

Curél Hand & Cuticle Therapy ($4.99)

This is a great hand cream for healing. Use this for a week and your dry, cracked hands will be mucho better. The best thing about it is that the moisture lasts until you wash your hands. I know this list only makes 9, but I not only use ALL of them myself but recommend them.
