Marilyn Monroe Spa

There are a lot of truly fabulous things about being a blogger and one of my favorites is the ability to review places like the Marilyn Monroe Spa in Midtown.
They invited me to enjoy their signature manicure and pedicure the day after we returned from Switzerland and let me tell you…there was no better way to unwind from the crazy travel than enjoying some good old fashioned pampering at their spa.

My nail tech was the absolutely wonderful Gloria. She was one of the most meticulous and professional nail techs I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. She was so pleasant to talk to and she really treated me like a Princess…which you know I’m all about. Their signature manicure and pedicure is a dream and just $65.00 (total for both!) it’s an affordable splurge and a great way to feel luxurious. It starts with a soak, then a fabulous sugar scrub, a massage, hot towels and the most delicious smelling organic rose lotion. It was amazing! Another thing I really loved (and you guys know I’m big on the natural aspect of things) is the fact that their polishes are super eco-healthy. They are cruelty free, vegan and free from toxic products like formaldehyde, DBP and toluene. This is something that really resonated with me being that I’m a mom and my hands are always around my baby’s face and body. I liked knowing that I was avoiding a lot of unnecessary toxins while still getting a great polish color. And colors they had…more than I knew existed. That may have been the hardest part of this whole thing…choosing my color. Decisions, decisions!

The salon is super clean, chic and very (VERY) relaxing. And for those looking to do something a little more unique for an event, keep this spot in mind for upcoming bridal events or showers.

They were setting up for an event and I thought the idea was brilliant. Honestly, I could even see myself hosting a little birthday pampering day come January for me and my closest friends.

If you’re in the Midtown area, stop by and give yourself a little pampering at Marilyn Monroe Spa…because let’s be honest, you deserve it. ;) There’s plenty of easy parking around. I’m pretty sure all their nail techs are amazing but I have to give a major shoutout to Gloria. She really was FABULOUS!! We did take a picture together but I had to veto it because I looked terrible in it (sorry, Gloria!) but just ask for her by name.
