The Perfect Weekend (Pushups with Polish)

Last weekend was so perfect, I am still coming off a happiness high. In fact, it was so good, I'm going to give you a play-by-play, just in case you want to copy it :)

Friday: One of my BFFs — we survived the awkward years together — came to visit. We went to dinner with our other gal pal at Sweet Woodruff followed by drinks at Rye. Sweet Woodruff is a little farm-to-table restaurant that serves up delicious food (and free mimosas if you tag them on Instagram). Rye is a laid back, hipster bar that has a great Moscow mule; one of my favorite bars in SF.

Saturday: The secret to any successful day is starting it off with coffee (from my Chemex) and fresh scones. After that, the majority of the day was spent picnicking at Crissy Field. My friends pretty much threw me the ideal birthday party filled with food, wine, and Cards Against Humanity. I seriously can't even describe the level of happiness and contentment that I felt. We were there until sunset.

(Note: there was no hard alcohol involved at this party...I'm old now).

Once the sugar high wore off, I'd like to say that I went out and raged, but I didn't. Instead, I returned happily to my studio with the girls. We watched Netflix and pinned our little hearts out.

Sunday: After enjoying coffee and macaroons in bed, I then proceeded to go to brunch. It was about a 40 minute wait for MyMy, but I seriously indulged in one of the best breakfasts ever. Let me just say, the breakfast potatoes are B.E.Y.O.N.D. That was proceeded by an afternoon of reading mags (a treat since I usually don't have the time), shopping at Trader Joe's, and a visit with friends.

Now you see, it was so simple, so great, so perfect.
