THE RAINCOAT

Rain and unpredicted weather never fails to dampen the mood and with it often comes a lack of creativity and spark, which can seriously dent both the level of consistency and effort you put into how you dress. It is perhaps the biggest hurdles we have to face during this season, especially in the UK. There are a number of ways we can tackle this issue: trench coats, clever layering, but casually I don’t think there is a better option than the lightweight rain jacket. The whole point of it is convenience and practicality – you can roll it up and carry it round with you effortlessly, and throw it on over the top of any current outfit you are wearing to protect yourself from the ever-changing weather.

I chose my raincoat from Shore Leave/ URBAN OUTFITTERS and mixed it with a grey flannel blazer and scarf and checked trousers.
