late afternoon

Bershka lace crop top (similar here, here), vintage Levi's distressed denim shorts (similar here, here), Silence & Noise moto jacket (similar here, here), Kate Spade bag (similar here, here), Forever 21 triangle necklace (similar here, here), Steve Madden sandals (similar here, here)

I wore this out, minus the jacket, to a rather warm afternoon in nearby San Jose to hang out and help at my friend's table at an indie nail polish event on Sunday. I admit, I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to indie polish, but did you know that such polish includes really awesome effects such as thermal (color changing depending on temperature in water) and glow in the dark? Polished by KPT is also 3-free, meaning no dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde and toluene, aka chemicals that you would not want anywhere near your person ever. Thanks for the invite, Kathy, I had a ton of fun while eating my weight in delicious macarons at the same time! I'm also reminded that ten fingers are not nearly enough to experiment and play around with these truly unique polishes. Check out her amazing collection here!

As warm weather clothes are pretty much my everything, I'm hoping to squeeze in a few more shorts and skirts outfits before the weather inevitably dips down to colder temperatures. Here in San Francisco, it's already happening (but that's pretty much standard for this fog city pretty much all the time). I'm especially in love with the Kate Spade bag, as it's perfection personified in a medium-sized satchel proportionate to my size. When I first saw it, I was in love and lamented leaving it behind at the shop, but my photographer later gifted it to me as a surprise birthday present. My first "big girl" bag!

These vintage high-waisted distressed denim shorts (what a mouthful) are handy if you want a little roughness to your look and you can really see the distressed part, especially the frayed threads near the bottom, haha. I adore moto jackets more than words can express, so I especially love how this particular jacket is made out of a sweatshirt-like material. Comfy and cool. And of course, the lace crop top and sleek minimalist sandals for a sweet feminine touch to round out the look.

In about two hours, I'll be off to SoCal for a mini vacation! As I'm moving across the country around the first week of October, I'm trying to enjoy my favorite spaces and places in California. :) Happy hump day, everyone, have a good one! xo
