Living Small

A friend of mine once said she was happy living small and I don't think, when she said it, I fully appreciated or grasped what she meant. But now I do.

This weekend was slow paced and relaxed. On Saturday we did a number of visits to friends we hadn't seen for a while who live in the Valleys. The sun was shining all day, we wound the windows down on the car and listened to Merriment and set out to socialise!

Sunday morning was pretty motivated! We got out of bed early, had a nice breakfast and went over to the Bessemer Road Market - a massive car boot that happens every Sunday full of businesses and local people, peddling their wares! Where I snapped up the typewriter for a fiver (I say I did it, I mean Ceri did it with some fantastic bartering!) and the camera for £2.

We headed home and I did some gardening which was exhausting and even though we don't know how much longer we'll be here, it was nice to see the results of something I'm working on as I'm going along and seeing the improvement it gives! Sunday afternoons are nearly always spent with Ceri's parents who make us dinner and we watch Countryfile and Antiques Roadshow with the play along app.

If that's not living small, I'm not sure what is but it certainly is lovely!
