This year has been a busy one for us! Little Dude and I tried everything from messy play to different art techniques, and fun crafts. I am so glad I started the
Busy Hands series on
Sand In My Toes this year to share our crafts and activities, and ideas for you to try with your little ones.
These are the ten most popular crafts and activities of 2014:
1. Our
Alphabet Matching Activity was an interesting way to identify letters. I even offered a free printable Alphabet Matching Sheet with this one, which you can use for multiple activities.
2. We loved the
Cardboard Tube Printmaking activity we did using little material, and lots of creativity!
3. This
Snowman Texture Art has been very popular, probably because it looks so cute! This is a fun way to use different craft materials and explore textures.
4. The
Number Hunt was one of the earliest learning activities we did. It's very simple to set up, and a great way to teach numbers in order.
5. We made our own autumn leaves in this
Autumn Print Leaf Mobile, and it was a lovely way to welcome the season!
6. Using the most basic materials, we made this
Melting Goo, which made for wonderful sensory play.
7. This
Window Painting activity with our home made paint was a lot of messy fun!
8. Our
Fruit Sticky Puzzle was a colourful activity using contact paper, and a playful way to learn about fruits.
9. In festive spirit, I put together this
Christmas Tree Making activity which you can do any time! There's a free printable template included.
10. Our
Paper Shapes Puzzle was another fun way to learn about shapes and patterns, and a good activity to keep toddlers busy.
