Hi everyone! We’ve launched into 2014 and if you’re familiar with the Chinese calendar it is officially the Year of the Horse. There’s lots of different information about it online, but the one I’m going with says that it’s a year of fast victories, unexpected adventure, and surprising romance. It’s also a great time to travel which makes me happy because I have a big adventure planned in September that I’ll tell you more about later. For now I wanted to welcome the new subscribers and give you an update on what’s happening in my LLC world.

I’m still recruiting and coaching and lately have been expanding my business a bit. I’ve joined forces with a new recruiting partner, Jeremy, who I will introduce to you in a future post. He’s a photographer and the rare breed of recruiter who gets creative, so I’m thrilled to have him around. I also still have my wonderful researcher, Anita, plugging away behind the scenes finding me talented creatives to place in the various jobs that we have. Most of my recruiting clients remain in New York City and I’m working on new cities, but will keep that under wraps until it happens.

In the coaching arena, I’m thrilled to have my first client in Dubai. The wonders of Skype never cease to amaze me. I can now add Dubai to my international list of past clients that include Amsterdam and Hong Kong. The rest of my New York clients are working hard at portfolio revamps, career planning and figuring out what’s next.

I’m also happy to announce that I’m finishing up editing the “mystery interview” I alluded to in my first (and yes, only) video post. I will post that next week. It is in 2 parts and I plan to make it a kick off for much more consistent content for you.

This content will come mostly in the form of writing again because, lo and behold, videos are a lot of work. (Fun, yes, but tick tock, a girl has to make some dough).

So, in a nutshell, 2014 is off to a good start. January was a month of recovery from the holidays for me, so the Chinese New Year made a lot more sense starting on January 31st. So, here’s to the Year of the Horse and may you all have a happy, healthy, productive and creative year!
