Meet Artifact Uprising

This weekend I finally got around to making an album with our wedding photos using a site I found out about on Oh Joy. I have waited to do, no more like put off doing this because it seemed like such a daunting task! Our photographer took over 900 photos and weeding through them all has not been high on my "want to do" list. Well anyway, I loved the aesthetic of the book Joy created, so I knew the time had come. Artifact Uprising is an easy to use site that offers design-your-own photo products and photo goods. Their interior printed book pages are made from 100% post-consumer waste recycled paper, which is a plus. Their collection of photo goods includes: hardcover photo books, softcover photo books, photo books with Instagram-friendly designs, and wooden calendars. I also like that you can choose from a variety of fabrics and dust jacket covers, including the a partial dust jacket cover.

I have to say, overall my experience was pretty good. The only mishap I had was forgetting to hit the save button after I uploaded 919 photos (which took all day) because I didn't realize they didn't automatically save. Once the photos uploaded again I had a bit of trouble with their software. I emailed the company directly and got a quick response that unfortunately didn't resolve my issue. The response came on a Friday, so I didn't hear anything else all weekend. Luckily, I am persistent and re-uploaded the photos one more time and finally the software worked correctly. They are a relatively new company, so I am chalking it up to bugs they are still working out.

Overall, I am happy with my experience and you really can't beat the price, $139.00 for 150 pages. Also, I will make sure to post photos when my book arrives.
