Practice Makes Perfect Progress, Not Perfect

My online class, “Practice Makes Progress,” goes live in 2 weeks! If you are wondering a little more about my philosophy in art, here is a bit about it taken from a response I made to a question about the class:

“I am of the belief that everyone is an artist and anybody can paint and improve, so especially if you are at all inclined in that area, you should do just fine (in this class). I don’t believe that artists are solely made up of pure talent, it can be taught as well. That is why we all improve upon practice.
(During this class), I am briefly teaching the basics of portraiture (i.e. proportions, shading, etc.) to cover those who may not have as much experience in that area, however the primary focus will be on painting methods and techniques (in both oils and acrylics). My reasoning for that is that there is a lot of info available over the internet on the portraiture basics, so this course is mainly about using the not so well-known tricks and methods that I’ve learned along the way, (from) trial and error.”
