Enjoying the Local Beer Culture

I love beer, always have. As a kid I would sneak sips of my parents' beer and once I turned 21 I was so excited to be able to buy my own beer. I've enjoyed developing my beer palate over the past decade and feel so lucky to live in a place like the Northwest where craft beers and microbrews are readily available.
The Woodinville area has long been known as the go-to destination for wine tasting, but they're gaining some competition these days with many new breweries moving into town. With beer culture on the up-and-up, it was only a matter of time before a place like The Collective on Tap showed up on the scene.

The Collective is all about showcasing the best craft beers from Washington State, and the rest of the country, and building a community of beer lovers. Their motto says all you need to know: "Good beer, no bull."
Even though The Collective has been open for a few months, and is close to where we live, we hadn't had a chance to check it out until last week. We were not disappointed!
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming; almost pub-like. There is plenty of seating - at the bar, tables, even a couch and comfy chairs in the corner.
There is a large board next to the bar which colorfully displays their current beers (which will continually rotate) and menus are brought to the table with additional drink options and absolutely delicious looking food - goat cheese dates and spiced candied bacon, WHAT.
We went with our neighbor friends and really enjoyed talking with the manager and other staff about their ideas for the place, and catching up on local beer news. I also love seeing how active they are on Facebook and Twitter. It's clear they truly care about getting to know their customers and community.
If you enjoy good beer and great food, I highly recommend this place!
