Trying out these samples today. (Ole Henriksen – CC Cream & L’Occitane Repairing Shampoo & Conditioner.

Hi everyone,

I said earlier this week that I would be testing out many more products because I’m working through my drawer of samples at the moment.

Today’s picks were: Ole Henriksen – Perfect Truth CC Cream with a broad spectrum SPF 30. This is a Youth defending Complexion Corrector with 5 sources of Vitamin C and ferullic acid. The colour I got was Light which was slightly too light for me. It’s very sunny at the moment so I took one picture in the full sun and one in the shade. (I’d just bumped my head on a beam so that’s why I have a huge starting bruise over my eyebrow) This is a very thick cream and it smells like Fruitella. It applied really nicely though and stayed on pretty well, I was amazed after a day doing things around the house and getting groceries that it still hadn’t disappeared completely. My skin feels really soft and hydrated, but this really isn’t a replacement for a foundation, you can still see spots and marks through it (no, I didn’t bump my head on purpose to show you this).
I’m wearing NO OTHER makeup. So it’s really not a bad product at all. I would actually check out other colours of this if they had it in stores here, esp. because the sunscreen didn’t make my face sweat at all. I can’t tell you if it corrects any skin problems over time because I only had enough for three uses and that isn’t enough for a good and thorough testing. So this is just a first impression.

On their website they say:

My shampoo I used yesterday was the L’Occitane – Aromachologie Repairing Shampoo and Conditioner. This is for dry and damaged hair. My hair is curly so it’s nature is slightly dry and damaged. This shampoo felt really cleaning but the conditioner wasn’t enough for my hair. Now I should mention that my skin can handle most things, but my scalp is very sensitive, so when I woke up today I had dandruff. Which means this has something in it that is too harsh for my scalp. Also my hair isn’t as soft as it was before so even though it tells us it has 5 essential oils, they apparently didn’t do anything for my hair. A bit disappointed with this really. Shampoo and Conditioners cannot repair hair, remember this! It can only hide the damage, but hair is dead so it cannot be repaired.

Their website tells us:
Transform your hair from dry and damaged to strong and shiny with the Aromachologie Repairing Shampoo.
