Castillo de Chapultepec

Because there are so many places to see and things to do, I'm reluctant to revisit destinations we've already experienced. We primarily chose to meet in Mexico City due to proximity and flight prices. Our time was limited, so planning an extensive itinerary or researching accommodations wasn't really an option at that point. Going back to Mexico felt familiar and easy. We knew people there, we knew we would enjoy the culture and food, and we didn't feel rushed to see the biggest tourist attractions.
I don't know how we missed Chapultepec Castle the first time around. The expansive building is incredible and apparently one of the filming locations of Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet (any girl who was a tween when the movie was released will understand the draw). We spent an entire afternoon admiring the art and the opulence.

Typically, we prefer visiting museums when it's rainy or cold, but the large, open courtyards and atriums make Castillo de Chapultepec a perfect place to be on a sunny day. - Mina
