Unfortunately I've been sick in bed since Sunday night and haven't been able to move or get out until today. I'm still not 100% better but enough that I can get myself into work and dress other than my Disneyland sweatshirt and yoga pants. (Even though it's the comfiest outfit ever!)
So with some delay, here is my photo diary on when we flew to Disneyland the day after Christmas. Background - Hubs had surprised me on Christmas Day with plane tickets to go to Cali to spend the next four days in the sun and just have some Disney fun. I wasn't expecting it at all! He had been planning it for the whole month and even worked it out with my coworkers and manager ahead of time. I was completely clueless.. and then by Christmas Day my whole family knew and so when it came down to finishing up our annual family white elephant exchange, we were cleaning up until one of my cousins handed me a gift saying I had 'missed' it. I was speechless and opened it in front of everyone and was brought to tears of joy when I pulled out a Minnie Mouse tee and Mickey ears. And I thought my surprise gift to him was the best! But his surprise obviously had mine beaten by a lot!
So here's a recap of what we did during our three day pass at Disneyland and California Adventures. Our fourth day didn't count besides us landing and going straight to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffle House. Bomb!
1. Don't let the blue skies fool you. It was chilly as hell! It started to warm up later in the day.. 2. Day 1 #ootd which the only thing keeping me warm was my Brandy Melville cardigan! 3. Got my Minnie ears ready and waiting to get on the Matterhorn bobsled. 4. Mickey balloons everywhere! I wanted a Baymax one! So cute! 5. It's a Small World (After All). Prettier at nighttime with all the lights! 6. The Holiday decorations just got everyone in the spirit! 7. Sleeping Beauty's castle never looked better with snow caps. 8. Gotta fuel up with some Starbucks at the happiest place on earth. :) 9. Didn't take a pic with Mickey himself but the poster is close enough. 10. Day 2 #ootd which this time I was smarter and kept warm with my Community sweatshirt. 11. Taking a pic of the carousel, have you entered my Daniel Wellington giveaway yet?? 12. I skipped the Haunted Mansion last time (b/c I'm a pansy).. but I went and I really liked it! 13. What is better than mickey-shaped beignets?? I got both original and pumpkin! 14. This BBQ chicken and coleslaw stuffed baked potato that was on the list of things to eat. 15. Waited for 25 mins for this Lobster roll. It was good but could've been better. 16. Paradise Pier is always so pretty esp with the sunset. 17. Goodnight to Sleeping Beauty's castle. See you until next time!
