Blackwatch Slingbacks by Bettye Muller

If there’s one style I love, it’s preppy. You can’t go wrong with it – a lot like pussy cat costumes on Halloween or cherry scones. These cute slingbacks by Bettye Muller at Anthropologie are preppy at their best, but they’re also like Gremlins – you probably shouldn’t get them wet*…

*they’re wool

These slingbacks are sort of wintery (save for the peeptoe) but they caught my eye in the Anthropologie sale and thought they were definitely worth mentioning. They’d probably look their best with a nice winter/autumn coat, but since they’re in the sale they might be a worthwhile investment for later on in the year. I like how they hint at tartan, but aren’t too patterned so as to allow you to wear them with dark jeans or a dress. Plus the bow is super cute!
