Best In Commercials

Television commercials are no longer what they were 20, 10, or even 5 years ago. Features like DVR and Netflix, and good ol’ texting while commercials are on, allow the viewers to tune out of what’s on their screen. Once in a while, a commercial will capture the attention of the viewer, causing them look up from their social networking. If it piques their interest, they tune in and watch, and may even go online and share it with their friends. And, if the commercial succeeds, induce them to buy their products or services.

Guinness

Guinness successfully portrays the values of friendship in this unconventional beer commercial. In a matter of seconds, the dribbling ball and the inspirational music grabs the your attention. The closing scene really illustrates the power if support and friendship. With strong feelings of camaraderie and bonding, It’s no wonder beer commercials are the most favored by viewers!

Kia

Yet another commercial successfully uses music to grab attention. Kia uses dramatic music to show the potential “fatality” of a toy in a garage. The day is saved, thanks to the clear back up camera, and the toy box is salvaged.

Pfizer

Spray painting and disappointing looks from mom create a stereotypical view of a troublemaking inner city kid. But, Pfizer’s message is that sometimes, love is more than medication, and there’s more to people than their appearance. The boy created a motivational message for his sister and pulled at our heart strings for sure!

Coca Cola

Coca-Cola addresses the current global issue of cyber bullying by spreading happiness. Despite the diverse cast of characters, Coke illustrated that we all have a universal desire to be happy and that the choice is in our hands. It changes the viewer’s mood and as a result ignites a positive feeling towards the company.

Clash of Clans

A bright, colorful animation from the game attracts a viewer to this commercial, but the drastic change in mood and visual create a feature film feel. our favorite action hero, Liam Neeson retains attention. Neeson goes into character from his role in “Taken” to show his drive for revenge. SO what’s the take away here? Everyone loves Clach of Clans, even our beloved celebrities.
