MAC Fashion Sets Lipglass: Review, Swatches, Photos
On April 4th, MAC will release MAC Fashion Sets part two. This collection is already available online. In 2013 four distinctive sets, feature five impactful ways to wear Lipstick, Lip-glass, Lip Pencil, Eye Shadow and Nail Lacquer. These new inclusions of eyeshadow and lip liners really set the tone for bright brilliant color throughout the spring and summer months. Who doesn’t want matching lips, eyes and nails, right?
Heroine is described as a “bright purple.” It’s a magenta purple with violet and pink pearl. This color is opaque and applies evenly to the lips. There is a glossiness to this lip glass that makes it appear a hint sheer. It looks great worn alone but adds a nice pop to the coordinating matte lipstick. There is a slight tackiness and it feels a little thicker in texture but, that could just be my imagination. This color wore for about 4 hours before reapplication was needed.
Ablaze is described as a “bright orange.” It’s a bold, medium orange with red undertones and golden shimmer. This color applies nice and evenly. It has a super shiny finish and isn’t super tacky like some lip glasses can be. This one almost feel like jelly. It’s bold but not in an in-your-face kinda way. One application lasted for well over 4 hours on me. When paired with the lip liner is lasted an extremely long time like over 8 hours only because I fell asleep with it on lol
Overall, these $15.00 for 0.17 fl. oz. lip glasses are nice. They aren’t life changers and are very dupable. I will say that both lip glasses had a shininess that was unlike the regular lip glasses in the permanent lineup. Like with most MAC lip glasses there is tackiness that helps to prolong the wear of them. The last over 4 hours and have that standard vanilla scent.
