Milani Cosmetics (Pinks & Corals) Color Statement Lipsticks: Review, Swatches, Photos

Milani Cosmetics recently totally revamped the Color Statement Lipsticks. These newly revamped lipsticks replace the Milani Perfect Lipsticks. There are a 30 shades available and they are broken down into color sets such as: Oranges & Reds, Pinks & Corals, Plum & Berries and Naturals & Browns . The lipsticks have either a vinyl, metallic, cream, shimmer, pearl, or matte finish. They have a full coverage formula and contain vitamins A, C & E to help moisturize your lips.

Included in the Pinks & Corals set are 7 lipsticks.

Pink Frost 09 is a pale, light pink frost with a metallic finish. Hardest shade to work with plus had a very retro look on me.

Fruit Punch 11 is a pink coral with a cream finish. On me this color showed no coral at all. Just pure pink goodness.

Flamingo Pose 12 is a bright flamingo coral/pink with a cream finish. Again on my skin-tone I saw no coral at all.

Rose Hip 14 is a bright in your face hot pink with a cream finish. I remember having this color in the old formula and though I loved the color back then. This new formula is even better and applies more vividly.

Hot Pink Rage 15 is a bright pink rose with a matte finish.

Flirty Fuchsia 16 is a bright cool-toned fuchsia with vinyl finish.

Rose Amour 33 is a cool-toned pink rose with a cream finish.

These all applied nice and evenly, were very saturated and had intense color pay off. The all wore for about 5 hours before re-application was needed. Theses lipsticks feel really great and comfortable on my lips. On my skin-tone most of the bright pinks all looked very familiar. Again, I found that I liked the creams and mattes most and the metallic finishes least. My favorites from this lot are: Rose Hip, Hot Pink Rage and Rose Amour. There is also a new smell to these new lipsticks that is a very pleasant surprise. I usually do not like products with smell but, to describe this smell, all I can think of is fruity candy. If you are sensitive to smell, I will assure you that the smell fades away within 20 seconds of application.

I also want to speak quickly on the packaging. Who doesn’t like gold shiny things? The packaging is very sleek, modern and functional. Each lipstick is clearly labeled at the bottom not only with large gold font but with coordinating coloring at the bottom. Super cute without looking cheap.

These new lipsticks retail for $5.49 each at most mass market drugstores and can also be purchased online at www.milianicosmetics.com

Have you checked any of these lipsticks out yet? If so, share your thoughts in the comments.
