Julep favorites + a giveaway
We are finally getting some cold temperatures here in North Carolina, and while I must prefer something in the 60-65 degree range, I can’t help but soak up a little bit of a chilling cold while it lasts.
This might be because my body temperature runs pretty hot given my internal furnace also known as a baby, but I also grew up in the North so I’m used to January being a cold one.
I love wearing what some may qualify as spring-like shades in the wintertime. Soft and pretty pastels, usually in the grey or lilac family, are on repeat on my nails. Not only does it go with my entire wardrobe so I don’t have to think about my nails looking strange, but I like how feminine they are too.
I also like layering some nail polish shades together to get something a little bit more unique. On my nails in the photo above is 2 coats of Shari finished with 1 coat of Fifi (and then completed with Oxygen Top Coat). The Fifi shade added a nice shine to Shari, and despite them both being creme polishes, I liked the sheer finish of Fifi on top!
I make no bones about full body exfoliation around these parts, and on instagram with my occasional #saturdayscrub share, but the combo below was just what my dry skin needed.
And if you are super dehydrated, the Night Shift sleeping mask (apply a thin layer) and Luxe Lip Conditioning Treatment (I love the cooling feeling of the metal applicator!) will ensure you wake up with smooth, quenched skin and lips. I’ve tried a few sleeping masks in the past, and I finally figured out that less is more when using them. When I think mask, I think “thick layer of product” but a sleeping mask is essentially a night moisturizer. Apply it like you would a moisturizer!
