Date Night Style

So earlier this month I shared a typical workweek outfit and some tips on being more confident in the office (Marshalls surveyed more than 1,000 women and found that 71 percent wish they were more confident). And today, I’m sharing a more relaxed look that would definitely work for cocktails with the girls or a date night out. Especially now that it’s getting colder out, I love cozy scarves, all things burgundy, and camel coats (see more of my fave cold weather looks here). Plus, keep reading for more tips on date night looks and how to be more confident from dateologist Tracey Steinberg and Marshalls!

Tracey Steinberg is a dating coach who wrote the book, “Flirt for Fun & Meet the One: Dating Secrets From The Dateologist.” According to Tracey, people appreciate confidence more than perfection, and the best way to instantly bring out your inner flirtatiousness is to wear something that makes you feel confident. She suggests wearing a flared skirt or a pretty V-neck sweater - I adore this skirt, and this sweater from Marshalls is perfectly comfortable (previously worn here). Plus, the color is perfect for fall! Also, while I would usually wear heels for a date, I am obsessed with these flats, also from Marshalls. And if you are more comfortable in flats, these are a great option. As Tracey states, “beware of clothes that are difficult to wear and need constant attention or adjustment as they can make you overly self-conscious while on dates. Clothing of high quality from Marshalls provide a perfect fit and requires no fuss so you can focus more on flirting and less on adjusting!”
