Totally agree with you, Tracy! I post my own content to promote it to the people that I think will benefit and I don’t consider it spam for that reason. I also participate in groups outside of my own postings – commenting on discussions others start, answering questions, and responding to people who comment on discussions I started. Much of the time, the things I post DO start discussions – and people thank me for posting them. What difference does it make if I post my own content, or someone else’s? It’s all relevant to the group and, if I post my own content as it’s published, I know that it hasn’t been posted in the group already. Glad to know I’m not alone in this!
