Sweet Potato Fries


what's the number one burger accessory? is it ketchup? good try but no is it a milkshake? another good shout but no is it a salad? EWW DEFO NO it's fries obvvy duuuhhhhhhhh but it's time to mix things up a tad, at the strawb sissy pad (that rhyme tho) with some SWEET POTATO FRIES

erm so sweet pototoes are pretty vital for this recipe. you should probably buy some.

we easily get through three

perhaps don't follow in our risky ways and actually use a peeler rather than a scary knife to peel yo taters

once they're all super naked it's chopping time

first cut them into massive oval slices (probably will need a knife for this)

then cut each slice into small fry shapes because that's just what they were destined to become
(dat concentration tho)

okay now we may both be pretty crazy but trust us here

the only way to get truly crispy fries is to soak them in water for at least an hour

it like drains their starch or summin we don't really know how it works - it just does!

then get that water going again by rinsing them off

then towel dry them babies

and place into your oven tray on some sorta paper - they usually get super stuck to foil!

to add a bit more flavour we like to cover them in olive oil spray and a healthy spoonful of salt

then pop them into the oven for 20 minutes

next give 'em a little shakey shake

and put them back in for another 10-15 mins until they look nice and crispy at the ends

the ONLY way to eat them is on super cool vintage cups and plates

cos you've got to be keeping it totes classy obvs hope y'all enjoy diving into this no-so-guilty guilty pleasure peace out x
